A Book of Love and Loss

$30.00

Almost thirty years ago the world stood by as incomprehensible horror fell across the African nation of Rwanda in what became known as the Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda. In 100 days almost a million died at the hands of the army, police and government-backed Hutus militias.

Kumva & Kwibuka is a group of survivors whose mission is to remember and honour those who died and the families that were ripped apart, and to educate young people on the inevitable consequences of hatred and intolerance.

This publication was the result of a series of writing workshops facilitated by WestWords, with members of Kumva & Kwibuka. This project was made possible by the generous support of The Adès Family Foundation.
