The Story Room: JUNIOR!  Cub Reporters

Story Room Jnr is  a junior version of our successful 5 week writing program for kids, held in partnership with Parramatta City Library.

Join award-winning author Gabrielle Tozer for a series of writing workshops that will spark your creativity. From creating wacky characters and doing fun writing activities, to learning the basics of news reporting and telling a story, you’ll have a blast – and learn something new while you’re at it!

Suitable for ages 7-8 years only.

Sessions: Mondays 4-5pm on 8, 15, 22, 29 October and 5 November, participants must attend all sessions.

Gabrielle Tozer is the award-winning and internationally published author of young adult novels The Intern, Faking It and Remind Me How This Ends. She is a contributor to HarperCollins’ Begin, End, Begin: A #LoveOzYA Anthology, and her debut picture book, Peas and Quiet (illustrated by Sue deGennaro), is out now. Gabrielle’s first middle-grade novel hits stores in 2019.

 

 

 

WestWords has been partnering with Parramatta Library to present WestWords Story room for the past three years. Our most recent program saw award-winning author-illustrator Donna Rawlins teaching creative writingto a group of 9-12 year olds. Donna Rawlins is best know for her illustrations in beloved Australian Picture book My Place written by Nadia Wheatley. Her latest book is Waves. Here is a little about
