Based in Western Sydney, Siobhan Colman is an author, teacher and convenor of the Women Writers Network since 2005.
Siobhan’s tragicomic play The Pyramid was selected as part of the 30th Anniversary of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, March 2008, Blacktown Arts Centre. It was also produced by Three to a Room Theatre Company and selected as part of the Melbourne Midsumma Festival in 2010.
Her short stories have been published in Flaunt, 2Flaunt, Imago (QLD University Press 1998), Hot off the Press, Best Lesbian Romance 2012 (Bella Books USA) and This Woman’s Work (Women Writers Network). Awards include the 2008 Winner of Mardis Gras Short Story Competition (with Sweet Treats at the CWA), the 2007 Highly Commended Mardis Gras Short Story Competition (with Love or Money or Bar or Bed), shortlisted for Short and Sweet Theatre Competition (with Jack (excerpt from The Pyramid), and was the 2007 grant recipient from the Blacktown Arts Centre for The Pyramid.
Siobhan convenes the Blacktown Writers’ Group who meet at Blacktown Arts Centre.
