Auburn Poets and Writers
- Founded in 2005, APW is a body of writers from various linguistic backgrounds dedicated to composing poetry and writing for performance and publication. This includes sharing work at its monthly meetings and devising and developing multi-lingual shows to the public around a common theme.
Seasoned poet Ron Wilkins is the Special Guest at the next Auburn Poets & Writers Open Mic on Monday, March 23rd.
Ron will be reading from his latest book: ‘Sejours en France et Autre Pays’ (Delphian Books) – which will be available for purchase.
Ron, in his day job, is an earth scientist – you can’t get any more grounded than that! In Ron’s mind it seems, no matter how rarefied the air you inhabit is, the irony of existence’s ebb and flow keeps pricking, stabbing, entwining the poet’s consciousness. It’s one of the most remarkable books I have read this year. Come along and enjoy his presentation!
There will, as always, be an Open Section for writers and musicians!
The doors of WestWords at 41 Hunter St, Parramatta (only minutes from the railway station and Parramatta Square) open at 7 pm. Entry to the Auburn Poets & Writers Open Mic is free!
